  • Covers area bounded by Anacostia River, S.W. W, S.W. 3rd, S.W./S.E. D, and S.E. 4th streets.
  • Title from handwritten (ink) label affixed to cloth backing.
  • On cloth backing in pencil: From the files of the Society of Oldest Inhabitants. Deposited by Henry C. Gauss in 1920's (?). One of 12 maps.
  • At right edge in lead pencil: No. 6 Dec. 10, 1890, J.S.
  • Black, brown, and red inks, watercolors, and lead pencil.
  • Watermarks: L Munn 1794, GR, [crown over fleur-de-lis].
  • Originally drawn on several sheets.
  • Soiled, torn, missing small edge sections, taped on recto, and mounted on cloth backing.
