  • Topographic map of western Philadelphia and small adjacent parts of Montgomery and Delaware counties showing 1st- and 2nd-order Civil War earthworks and batteries.
  • Relief shown by contours, hachures, and spot heights.
  • Pen-and-ink, red ink (contours), and watercolors.
  • Former ownership rubber-stamping to left of title: U.S.C. & G. Survey, Library and Archives, no. 1.
  • "Acc. no. 54399" and "854 ST 1863" (former Coast Survey numbers) are handwritten in ink on sheet and on adhesive labels at corner of each sheet.
  • This map has some imperfections: missing small internal and edge sections. We'll do our best to restore the image before printing.
