  • Similar map appears in the U.S. War Dept.'s Atlas to accompany the official records of the Union and Confederate armies, 1891-95, pl. 45, no. 3. A note on the printed copy states that "McPherson handed me this sketch a few moments before he was killed, July 22, 1864 (W. T. Sherman)."
