Old map of Henrico County, United States, Virginia.
Shows the distribution of troops during battle, with majority of McClellan's forces northeast of the Chickahominy River and the Confederates under Joseph E. Johnston attacking the two Union corps on the south side of the river. Map indicates locations of 9 Mile Road and Old Williamsburg Road, the Richmond and York River Railroad, and Confederate defenses, chiefly felled trees. Edwin V. Sumner's route of advance to reinforce the Union position is also shown.
