- Covers area bounded by Washington Canal, 3rd St. S.W., H St. S.W., and the Potomac River, including part of the Mall.
- Title devised by cataloger.
- On cloth backing in lead pencil: From 3d Street to 15th Street west / map by R. King.
- At lower left in lead pencil: No. 4, December 10, 1890, J.S., R. [Kay?] senior.
- Black and red inks, watercolors, and lead pencil.
